DR. SAMIR BHARGAVA

· Currently Professor in ENT Dept, HBT Medical College and Dr. R. N. Cooper Hospital Mumbai and ENT Consultant at P D Hinduja Hospital, Khar, Mumbai.
· He has been the National President of the Association of Otolaryngologists of India (AOI) for the year 2020 and 2021.
· He has been a Gold Medalist securing first rank at both M.S. (ENT) & DORL Exam in the year 1991 from Mumbai.
· He has done his MS(ENT) from KEM Hospital Mumbai and DLO from Royal College of Surgeons, London.
· He has been invited Faculty at more than 70 Live Surgical and Cadaveric workshops all over the country since 1996 and has been guest speaker and panelist at several conferences and workshops both national and international.
· He has been Course Director for Cadaveric FESS Workshops at HBT Medical College for training ENT Surgeons every year since 2015 -2019.
· He has delivered several prestigious Orations across the country
· He is a co-author of ‘A Short Textbook of ENT Diseases’ which has been read by more than 2.5 lakh students and has contributed as author of chapters in several postgraduate books, and several articles in national and international journals.
· He has been the Chief Coordinator in formulating the Indian Guidelines for Management of Allergic Rhinitis 2021.
· He has been an active Rotarian and Awarded Best Rotarian Award 2015-16 and 2022-23 by Rotary Club of Bombay Seacoast.

· Recently presented Angioplasty cases in “Top Challenging Angioplasty Cases” session in TCT USA the most prestigious Angioplasty Conference.

• 40+ years of experience and India’s first woman reconstructive surgeon.
• Completed her MBBS in 1976 and MS (Plastic Surgery) in 1982 from University of Bombay
• Got trained in Hand and Microvascular Surgery at Brescia, Italy in 1988
• Former Associate Professor in Department of Plastic Surgery at Grant Medical College, Sir JJ Group of Hospitals, Mumbai
• Former Head, Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai [2005 – 2018]
• Former Head, Department of Surgery at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai [2009 – 2018]
• Trained over 150 Reconstructive Microvascular Surgeons in India and neighboring countries and is instrumental for current Reconstructive Microvascular Surgery in India
• Past President of Association of Plastic Surgeons in India (APSI) [2015]
• Has good number of publications as journal articles and authored book chapters
• Performed and led over 5,000 free-flap reconstructions and has penned down this vast experience in a book titled
“Mastering Cancer Reconstructive Surgery with Free Flaps”
• Honoured and felicitated as the ‘Pioneer Lady Microsurgeon from Asian Continent’ at the World Society of Reconstructive
